House Tour

I love the layout of our house. It's functional for us as a couple, and I can only hope that it remains functional as we start a little family of our own. I love the L shape. It gives us such privacy, when we park in the back, our cars are hidden. I like that you don't know if we are home or not just by our cars being parked in the driveway!

Our yard is about 1/2 an acre and half of that is fenced in. I've never had a fenced in yard in my life, but as much as I like it I'm sure my dogs LOVE it 10x more!

Before we even bought our house, I took photos the day we did our final walk through, so this is serious "before" photos.

Living Room

I won't lie, when we first viewed this house online, I said NO! Beause of this room.

But after I stopped being so superficial, I took a closer look at the actual house and fell in love!

There is NOTHING that paint, TLC and DIY can't fix!

It took 4 coats of primer to cover the red, yellow and BROWN molding. It wasn't wood either, it was plastic molding, painted brown to make it look like stain. My plan is one day, Andrew will cut me some crown molding and we are going to wainscot the bottom half of the chair rail!

Bedroom

The previous owner was a huge fan of the sponge technique. This room was white, which an off white sponge pattern over top of it.

This master is amazing never the less. It is HUGE (to me at least). If any bedroom is big enough for an elliptical... it's big

We updated the room with Valspar's Polished Silver

Hung some darker grey curtains we got from TJ Maxx and painted all of our furniture accordingly.
